The Coalition of Juvenile Forces for Renewal in Mali (Cofor) was launched on Saturday August 7, 2021 in Bamako. Objective: to promote better participation of young people in the electoral process and in the management of public and local affairs in Mali.
In Mali, the youth constitute more of the majority of the working population. However, this important layer of society is less represented in the upper spheres of state management and public affairs. To reverse this trend, young leaders from across the country, from all walks of life, have come together in a single group called Cofor. The launch of this grouping, which took place last weekend, was an opportunity for the initiators to launch the Support Program for the Emergence and Promotion of Young and Exemplary Leadership. This project, according to the provisional executive director of Cofor, Diakaridia Diakité, wants to carry out joint actions in order to create the right conditions for the adoption of a Youth Promotion law in Mali.
