This great cycling event in the Malian capital over a distance of 657 km put in competition, from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 March, 54 runners from Senegal, Morocco, Guinea Conakry, Mauritania, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso and Mali.
In order to prove to the whole world that Mali is a country that is moving forward in its quest for peace and unity, the Malian Cycling Federation and the responsible Ministry of Sports organized this tournament. Composed of five fundamental stages, this 9th edition of the Tour du Mali took place over the following distances: departure Bamako-Koulikoro 120 km; Dio-Kita 147 Km; Bamako-Bramali (Sénou) -Bougouni 141 km, Bougouni-Niéna 130 km and, finally, Bamako-Siby-Bamako 126 km.
