(Agence Ecofin) - Faced with the increase in terrorist violence, the Burkinabè government has launched PREVI, a new project aimed at ending the recruitment of young people into jihadist groups. The program supported by the Netherlands will be rolled out in 3 regions of the country.
Burkinabe authorities earlier this week launched the Project to Prevent Radicalization and Violent Extremism in the North, Center-North and Sahel Regions. The objective of PREVI is to fight against violent extremism which affects several young people recruited by terrorist groups. The program intends to help young people not to fall into the trap of radicalization, and to support the return to their families of those already recruited among the jihadists. Read more
